Frequently asked questions
How do I connect TeacherHero to ChatGPT?
Add TeacherHero from ChatGPT's plugin directory and choose Connect. You sign in to TeacherHero, or create an account, read what the connection allows, and press Allow. Nothing is shared until you approve. If the plugin is not listed yet, the ChatGPT page says so.
How do I disconnect ChatGPT?
Open the account menu behind your name in TeacherHero, choose Connected apps, and press Disconnect next to ChatGPT. Access stops at once. Your lessons are untouched, because they were always stored in TeacherHero, and you can connect again later with a fresh approval.
A link from ChatGPT says the file can't be found. What now?
Download links open only for the TeacherHero account that built the file. Sign in with the account you connected to ChatGPT, then open the link again. If it still fails, ask ChatGPT to build the files again, because a file can be removed after a while.
How do I get my lessons out of TeacherHero as files?
Open a lesson and choose Export center to build PDFs, slides, an answer key or a ZIP bundle. For a whole week, use Make printables on the week page. Everything stays in your account either way, and in ChatGPT you can ask for the same files by name.
What is the starter week, and how does billing work?
A starter week of lessons comes with every account, no card needed. After that, AI generation needs a TeacherHero subscription, billed by Stripe. The current price and any trial are on the pricing page. Billing happens on the website, not inside ChatGPT, and your existing lessons stay available if you cancel.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the account menu behind your name, choose Plan & billing, then Manage subscription to reach Stripe's billing portal, and cancel there. Your lessons and exports stay available. Cancel before you delete your account, because deleting it is a separate step that does not end a subscription by itself.
How do I delete my account?
Open the account menu, choose Delete account, and type your email to confirm. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone: it removes your courses, lessons, uploads, exports, ChatGPT connections and published library lessons. If you subscribe, cancel in Plan & billing first.
I can't sign in. What can I do?
If you created your account with Google, use Continue with Google on the sign-in page. Otherwise check the email address and try your password again. TeacherHero does not have a self-service password reset yet, so if you are locked out, email us from the address on the account and we will help.
Who do I ask about privacy or my data?
Email [email protected]. Most controls are in the app: export, disconnecting ChatGPT and deleting your account. The privacy policy lists what we store and for how long, and the trust page names every service that receives data.
